Title: Panel – Will AI Ever Replace Engineers?

Description:

Engineers are grappling with more complex system design challenges, packing more functionality and denser electronics into smaller spaces and more demanding operating environments. Schedule pressures and prototyping costs demand the use of physics simulation to explore design choices and identify the optimal parameters. The exponential growth of these combinations, plus an expanding system simulation scope, has led to the application of AI in analysis technologies. But is it real? Can AI handle the scope of these systems? Are we expecting too much of AI? And is it really AI or just a repositioning of what is already available? This lively panel of industry experts will debate their differing views on these questions and bring light to the opaque art and science of AI in system design.
