Glenn Zorpette
Glenn Zorpette is editorial director for content development at IEEE Spectrum Magazine. Previously, during his 20-year tenure as executive editor, IEEE Spectrum won 130 significant journalism awards, including a National Magazine Award for General Excellence, the highest honor for magazine journalism in the United States. His reporting has taken him to the South Pole, to war zones in Iraq and Afghanistan, and to an underwater habitat in the Caribbean. He has also been a staff editor and writer at Scientific American and Red Herring magazines, and his work has been published multiple times in The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Boston Globe, American Heritage of Science and Technology, and other publications. A Fellow of the IEEE, Glenn holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Brown University.
